Maytime Playgroup
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The Maytime playgroup has been operating since 1981 at 101 Clapton Common E5, under the care of HMWC and its aims and objectives are to:
- Promote the benefit of the community residing in Hackney
- Provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory School age
- Provide a curriculum for the foundation stage of education for Children's learning and development into six areas
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Communication, Language and literacy development; Mathematical development
- Physical development; Personal, Social and Emotional development
- Creative development
The playgroup is child’s first step in education and we wish to work to with parents to ensure the child is happy in our care and achieve his/her full potential. Children are looked after and taught to mix with other and play in a happy environment.
The playgroup helps and encourages them to become confident and independent. Bi-lingual careers works closely with them teaching various aspects before going to school.
The children are taught basic English and Numeracy. They have the opportunity to play and participate in physical activities as well as basic Art and Crafts sessions.
They leave the playgroup having mastered a number of important social and educational skills, which sets a good Foundation for their entry into life in this country.
They are also well rounded happy and confident, as well as being aware of and proud of their own culture.
Location
The MAYTIME PLAYGROUP is situated at 101 Clapton Common E5. The playgroup provides services of 42 weeks a year in ten sessions per week (morning and afternoons).

Maytime Playgroup promotes good behaviour and integration. We employ carers Who:

As an organisation, we have trained carers and encourage their continuous development to ensure the children benefit in their educational, emotional, and social development.

Admission opens for children from 2 to 5 years

Free vacancies for 2, 3 and 4 year olds

Morning session
9:30am to 12:30pm
Afternoon session
1:00pm to 4:00pm
Longer hours facility for working parents available
FEES
The registration fee is £5 per child is required with the enrolment application from.
Fees are at £35 per week for the morning or afternoon session.
Fees cannot be refunded for illness or absence.
Fees are to be paid weekly in advance on Mondays (promptly).
